Iznik Ultra Marathon General Rules
Individually, by accepting and declaring that they have adequate health conditions, the participants who registered for the Iznik Ultra Marathon and completed the ticketing process declare that they accept the terms of this contract.
In this context;
The participant can participate in the amateur runners run by completing the registration form and ticket process. The organizer reserves the right to request an athlete license or equivalent (health report, etc.) when it deems necessary.
1. The participant can participate in the Iznik Ultra Marathon by accepting that he has adequate health conditions. In 25K, 50K, 75K, 90K, 160K individual and 160K 2 relay races, the organizer requests an athlete license valid on the date of the race or an equivalent health report obtained within the last 6 months in Turkish or English. If it is not declared, the organization reserves the right not to allow the participant to run. Click here to download sample health report.
2. Athlete license or equivalent medical report is not required for 14K, 5K and Kids Run. Young and star athletes under the age of 18 must attend with parental permission. Click here to download the parental consent form.
3. The running courses are designed with the safety of the participants in mind. The participant accepts that the risks cannot be completely eliminated in the running organizations, and that in order to maximize safety, they must fully comply with the rules conveyed by the competition organization and announced on the website.
4. The organizer reserves the right to limit the total number of participants, to make changes in registration and ticket sales dates, cancellation and refund conditions, and program hours on the race day. In such cases; Participants will be informed on the www.iznikultra.com page.
5. The organizer cannot be held responsible if the participants are not allowed to participate in the Iznik Ultra Marathon due to international or national laws.
6. The Organizer has the right to verify all the participant's identity information. Records containing incorrect identification information will be deemed inappropriate. In this case, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify the participant, not to take him to the field and not to take him to future events.

2. Only runners who have registered and have their race number can participate in the race.
3. The right to participate in the Iznik Ultra Marathon is personal, race numbers and participation rights are non-transferable.
4. Participants participating in the race will not be reimbursed for travel expenses and other expenses incurred for participation for any reason.
1. The registration fee is determined by the organization. The organizer, reserves the right to change the race fees and the dates on which each fee is valid.

Registration fees are valid for the total quota determined, and the registrations are closed when the quota is full. Interim price validity dates may vary depending on the registration quota. * Includes participation t-shirt.
The registration fee covers the following services:

- Health Care in competitions (fixed health specialist at intermediate points and on arrival in trail race, plus mobile ambulance)
3. Participation in the Iznik Ultra Marathon can be made at www.iznikultra.com with a participation fee to be collected using a credit or debit card. After the payment is made, the registration will be completed. Payments made by credit card, debit card or money order are binding, non-deferable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable and non-refundable, subject to local written law.
4. The signed contract is within the scope of the right of withdrawal exceptions pursuant to Subparagraph G of Article 15 of the Regulation on Distance Contracts dated 27 November 2014. For this reason, by accepting this agreement, you agree that you cannot exercise your right of withdrawal.
5. The organizer undertakes to deliver the competitor's t-shirt, which is included in the race fee, to the applicant after the competition, in case of cancellations notified in writing 15 days before the race (4 April 2024) or earlier. The beneficiary can have the t-shirt removed with his/her designated agent, come and collect it or request a paid cargo against the address.
6. Deregistration requests must be notified in writing to yaris@maceraakademisi.com.
7. Race fee and chest numbers cannot be transferred to another race or to another person.
8. If the race is stopped or canceled due to bad weather conditions or other reasons beyond the control of the organization, the registration fee will not be refunded.
9. When the registered competitors request a change of course; They should send their change requests to yaris@maceraakademisi.com.
10. The category change is made by e-mail during the online registration period. The price difference is taken from the competitor for the transitions to the upper courses, and no refund is made for the transitions to the lower courses. If the race numbers are not customized, the course change can be made 15 days before the last race. In cases where the name and company are written on the race number, this last change is accepted 30 days before the race.
1. A special category is not opened for paralympic, disabled or special athletes in Iznik Ultra races. Athletes with the physical and mental abilities required by each race participate equally and are evaluated in the general and age classification of the race. For the safety of the race and the participants, there is a quota of paralympic, disabled and special athletes allocated on the basis of each race distance.
2. 10 people in 5K races, 3 people in other races.
3. In case of showing a disability, paralympic license or special athlete certificate in the 5K race, free registration is made within the quota. For other races, 50% discount is made from the registration fee. The registration conditions also include the guide runner if the athlete needs a guide.
4. For Paralympic, disabled and special athlete registration, send a message to yaris@maceraakademisi.com. Following the control process, the registration process is completed with the transmitted code.
1. No monetary prizes are awarded in the 1st Iznik Ultra Marathon. All participants who finish the race within the time limit and within the rules are given a finishing (memory) gift.
2. Participants earn experience and sponsorship rewards. Awards for general and age classifications are announced on www.iznikultra.com.
3. Those who take the podium in the general course ranking do not take the podium in the age category. Each competitor takes the podium once for the highest prize he has won.
4. If the competitor does not attend the award ceremony on the dates and times announced and presented by the organization, if he/she requests, it will be shipped against him/her within 15 days with payment. After 15 days, the prize is deemed to have been waived and the prizes are not kept, they can be destroyed.
5. The award categories are as follows:
5.a For 160K, 90K, 75K, 50K, 25K and 14K: Women/Men General Category, 18-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55+ age categories.
5.b In 160K Relay race course, only team classification is made. Competitors participating in the team race are included in the team classification. Team classification consisting of only women runners is applied if 3 or more women's teams are registered.
5.c For 5K, Female/Male General Category is made, Age Category is not made.
5.d Children's Run: It is run in 3 different categories: 4-6 years old, 7-9 years old and 10-12 years old. There is no chip measurement in running, time is kept. In the 4-6 age category, no time is kept, no lectern classification is made.
1. A competitor registered for the race can receive his chest number by showing his identity card or equivalent document and participate in the race.
2. The Organizer reserves the right to change the Participation Conditions at any time and these changes will be published on www.iznikultra.com.
3. Organizer; if, for any reason other than himself, he thinks that holding the Iznik Ultra Marathon is dangerous or inconvenient; The race may be canceled or the date and route may be changed due to risks concerning the society such as a social, economic, political crisis or health problems.
4. It is the person's own responsibility to always wear the chest number visible from the front. The competitor is aware that in cases such as removing the chip behind the bib number, losing the 2nd chip (if any) and losing the bib number, the competitor cannot participate in the race and his result will not ve classified. RFID chip system will be used on the courses.
5. Competitors participate in the race with their own responsibility by signing the Risk Acceptance Form.
6. It is the competitor's own responsibility to comply with the general traffic, property and safety rules during the competition. The use of zones, passages and methods prohibited by the organization is prohibited. In case of violation of this rule, the addressee of the legal problems that may arise is the competitor, the organization cannot be held responsible.
7. Behaving outside the organization rules, entering dangerous/forbidden areas, harming the safety of life and property of third parties or institutions during the race is prohibited and is entirely the competitor's responsibility, the race organization committee and sponsors cannot be held responsible. The organizer may disqualify the competitor in such cases.
8. The competitor accepts that he/she is obliged to abide by the general traffic and community rules as the race will be held in public areas.
9. Competitors who leave the competition for various reasons must inform the organization and come to their destination.
10. During the competition, the rules of ITRA and TAF (Turkish Athletics Federation) are applied in matters not listed here.
11. The organization committee may exclude people who do not respect the competition rules, other competitors, organization officials, local people and applicable laws and ethical principles, make insulting statements, behave illegally and disturbingly, at the time of detection, prevent them from starting the race, if the race is over. reserves the right to cancel their degrees, request their medals and awards back, not accept registration for their continuing races and cancel their registration if registered.
12. The Iznik Ultra Marathon is built on the idea of testing and developing one's own limits. For this reason, the use of performance-enhancing substances known as doping is strictly prohibited. Runners who have been punished in the past due to prohibited substances can only compete in an unclassified race, as we believe that the use of doping in trail and ultra-running distances provides unfair benefits longer than the penalty period. They have to declare their status to the organization during registration. In this situation, people who run without declaring will be disqualified and their prizes, if any, will be withdrawn.
13. In the 25K, 50K and 160K (both solo and team) races of the Iznik Ultra Marathon, a valid athlete license or equivalent medical report is required.
14. There is no such obligation in the 5K and 14K courses. It is recommended that people who have physical activity restriction developed by their doctor consult their doctor. The competitor registers for the race with the awareness that this item, which is also included in the risk acceptance form, is under his own responsibility.
15. The race of the persons who are deemed inconvenient to continue the race by the organization referees and the health personnel in charge will be stopped. This decision is final and cannot be appealed.
16. If the competitor objects to the race result, it is expected to reach us at yaris@maceraakademisi.com within 7 days.
17. The organization, which determines the following penalties and disqualifications, applies the necessary penalties and penalties to the competitor:

(*) Penalties of 15 minutes or 1-3-5 hour are applied as soon as they are given. This means that the competitor who receives the penalty has to pause the race for the entire penalty period. The Jury or the race director may change the place of application of the penalties.
1. Iznik Ultra Marathon courses start on the announced date and at the announced exit times.
2. Run by following the marked courses. The marked course on race day may differ from the one previously announced. It is the competitor's own responsibility to pass the number of referee points established on the course and to prove that he has passed. This condition also applies to control points where the electronic chip is read by the referee.
3. It is free to use a GPS wrist watch and run with the data provided by the organization. Except for the maps published by the organization, it is not possible to run with the printed map.
4. The overall men's and women's standings are formed based on the time of the starting signal, and the one who crosses the finish line first is considered the finisher, regardless of when the starting carpet is passed.
5. It is not possible to participate in the trail courses of the Iznik Ultra Marathon with a baby carriage and a wheelchair due to the ground structure. Participation in 14K and 5K races is possible with prior permission.
6. Each race within the scope of the Iznik Ultra Marathon is evaluated separately. A person who fails to complete a race cannot be considered to have completed a shorter race and is not eligible for the finishing prize.
1. Teams (over 18 years old) must consist of 2 or 4 people. There is no restriction for men or women.
2. Team classification; It is made for teams consisting of 2 runners in the Relay Duo (Relay Race 2) race and 3 or 4 runners in the Relay Quartet (Relay Race 4) race, the genders of the team are not important. (If only women's teams participate, positive discrimination will be made and women's team classifications will be opened.)
3. The team member list cannot be changed after April 10th.
4. Only 1 team member can race on the course at a time.
5. It is not possible to participate in the courses of the Iznik Ultra Marathon with a baby carriage and a wheelchair.
6. Team members must arrive at the flag change point before the cut-off time.
7. The competitor carrying the chip cannot get help from other team members until the flag change point.
8. Due to the nature of the relay race, one stage cannot start before the next stage is completed. If the member in the previous stage cannot complete his course, the others cannot start. If a member fails to complete the round or is disqualified, the team is disqualified. The next course members can NEVER go to the course.
9. The runner who completes his/her course gets the ITRA and other points, if any, of his/her course. The disqualification of the next runner doesn't change that.
10. (Except after Çamdibi checkpoint) Team members cannot run together.
11. Mandatory materials must be carried by the team member who is on the course.
12. Teams must provide their own support transportation. The organization may provide optional transportation, this service may be charged additionally.
13. All team members must come together from Lefke Gate to the finish line. Teams that do not finish together will be disqualified.
14. Team captains must attend the race briefing.
15. Team members who will use the organization shuttle vehicle to go to the Flag Exchange points, if any, must be ready at the departure point 10 minutes before the departure time of the shuttle.
16. The team/team member who does not comply with any of the above mandatory rules cannot start the competition.
17. If a violation of the rule is discovered later, the team will be disqualified.
18. When the final (last standing) finish line of the Relay is crossed, each member receives a finishing medal.
19. In relay races, a ranking is made among the runners of that stage for each stage and a certificate is given to the first 5 places.
1. Competitors can only receive partial replenishment and assistance at certain points on a semi-autonomous basis. There are mandatory supplies, clothing, food and beverages to be carried.
2. Dropbag/ Supply Bag; The organization will give 160K solo runners a bag (20-30 lt) on registration. Competitors who wish can deliver this bag before the start to be transported to the İznik Ultra Sölöz 92K control point.
3. The mouth of the bag should be completely closed and items should be placed in a weight that will not be damaged. The competitor number and name should be written on the bag in the color of the course. This bag is carried by the organization to the finish line in the center of Iznik after the competitor passes. The supply bags of the competitors who cannot reach this point are transferred at the last supply dispatch.
4. It is possible for the runners in the Iznik Ultra 160K race to be accompanied by a pacer (pacer) after the 90th km from the Narlıca station. No pacer is allowed in any other distance or race. The tempor cannot carry material, he/she cannot give food while running. (There is an exception for running together in the relay race)
5. In Solo trail races, competitors may have a support team. The support team can provide support and supply (food, drink, clothing, etc.) to the runner at the supply points determined by the organization (Keramet, Yeniköy, Örnekköy, Sölöz, Narlıca, Derbent).
6. Support teams can resupply at a distance of up to 50 m from the checkpoints.
7. During the supply, the competitor's compulsory material cannot be received, in this case the competitor will be disqualified.
8. The competitor who receives supplies from the support team outside the designated area is given a 1 hour time penalty.
1. Iznik Ultra Marathon courses have mandatory equipment that each participant must carry. These materials are checked before the race and during the course, the bag in which the material is carried is marked. Athletes with missing equipment are not allowed on the course, in case of detection of missing equipment while on the course, they are disqualified.
2. Iznik Ultra Marathon runners are required to wear reflective vests and clothes, which are among the mandatory materials when it gets dark.
1. The competitor accepts that he is responsible for ensuring that the information provided during registration is correct and up-to-date, and allows him to be contacted via e-mail, address and mobile phone for up-to-date information about the competition and upcoming races.
2. When registering for the race, the competitor accepts that the name, surname, country, age, club/company information will be published by the organization on websites, social media and the press for informational, commercial and marketing purposes.
3. In order for the L.1 and L.2 articles to be implemented, the organization accepts that it can store and process the information it collects on its own sources or trusted 3rd partners, and host the data abroad for other transactions necessary to provide the transactions and services in this contract.
4. Audio and video recordings are made throughout the organization. The rights of all kinds of videos, photographs, audio and similar shootings, recordings and documents to be made during the organization belong to the organization. Everyone who comes to the organization area (participating and watching the race) consents to the use of these images and recordings for all legal purposes, including advertising. No rights can be claimed from the resulting works.
5. Allows Macera Akademisi to send informational emails and text messages about current and upcoming events.
6. Within the scope of the protection of personal data, our privacy policy and clarification text can be examined in more detail on the Privacy and Clarification page.
Participants who have voluntarily registered for the Iznik Ultra Marathon are deemed to have accepted the running rules and any changes that can be made to these rules. The organization cannot be held responsible for material and moral damages and accidents caused by or suffered by the participants.
1. We follow the guidelines and regulations of the TR Ministry of Health within the scope of Covid-19.
2. We implement measures to reduce contact, contamination and human density.
3. There are currently no Covid-19 restrictions on sporting events in effect. We ask our unvaccinated contestants to wear masks.
4. We kindly ask you to maintain social distance, pay attention to personal hygiene and avoid close contact.
